I seem to be having a problem with month1_rain0_days being a day behind.
I'm using Version 4.9e of MH
I know that month1 values only updates every 6 hours (00:13/06:13/12:13/18:13)
Yesterday I have first rain of the month but month1_rain0_days remained at 0 all day.
This morning month1_rain0_days was 1 but we had rain during the night as well so should be 2. At 6.13 it did not update, also 12.13 did not update value.
It seems as if month1_rain0_days is not updating at the 6 hour intervals, only during the night (don't know what time I was asleep).
Anyone else who using MH output or Meteohub plugin for Saratoga AJAX/PHP templates see an issue with rain days or is it just my system?
Thanks
Mark

Re: Problem with month1_rain0_days
Well, keep in mind that there is a new feature in MH that considers the amount of rain. If it it below (I think) 1mm, it is not counted as rain.
Can you please report the amount of daily rain you've seen?
Also, it would make sense that this fixed "minimum" level is user configurable. I can imagine that 0.2mm of rain in dry areas is really considered a "rain day", while in humid zones 1mm can be applicable as minimum level.

Hi,
Had a quick look around can find no mention of this new feature?
Anyway, tips were; 0.2mm Yesterday and 4.0mm
I was running 4.9 and never saw any issue with rain days, I only upgrading as Boris likes you to be on the latest vesion to make offering support easier.
To me a tip is a tip of precipiation you can not choose not to record it? What you attibute that to is user choice!
If this is because of this new feature, what version do I need to go back to to get rid of it? as this feature make no sense to me unless it was user configurable.
Kind Regards
Mark

Re: Problem with month1_rain0_days
Hi, this was introduced in 4.9:
Enhances rain day counting by ignoring a "rainfall" up to 1 mm per day. This clip level prevents a few drops of dew moisture to count a otherwise dry day as a day with rain.

Re: Problem with month1_rain0_days
Ok, thanks for info.
I was under the asumption that a rain day occurs when a daily rainfall of at least 0.2 mm is recorded. (but please let me caveat that I was under the assumption right or wrong, please don't flame me for it) I thought that is why the David tip starts at .2mm or the imperial equiverlent.
To me this change is using the wet days criteria of greater than or equal to 1 mm as rain days.
I can see that to have this feature could be useful in areas that suffer from dew, fog or mist. Here I don't suffer from anything other than rain.
So for me to have a user configurable option would be essential.
I am assuming as no one else is joining in that I'm the only one who has an issue with this new option, so hopefully I can code round this tomorrow.
Anyway again thats for responce.
Kind Regards

I agree - this option should be user-configurable. It's been so dry here over much of the winter that even <1mm of rain has been a notable event.
