We are a club of Radio Control Pilots, we use this Meteohub at a remote site on a NSLU2, Davis weather station, powered by solar panels to batteries, and the data is sent via a Rogers Rocket Hub over cellular internet to our website for processing. Recently we have had issue with the NSLU2, just stopping after working well for a 3 to 5 day stretch (it has powered itself down).
We are certain that this is not a power issue, as everything else requires a reset or restart (manually). Everything else is powered and running and the NSLU2 is just sitting there with lights out. (after a reset/restart it works fine again.....
Two Questions:
1) is this symptomatic or suggestive of a certain condition?
2) is there a more reliable hardware replacement for the NSLU2 that someone could recommend ? price is not an object, a low current draw is.

Re: The Most Reliable Hardware Solution
ALIX or iConnect or DC01 are my recommendations. All pretty reliable. NSLU2 is the oldest and in the meantime most flaky HW.

To Admin,
Thank you for your response....
Which ALIX are you referring to, and have you had any experience with the Sheevaplug?

SheevaPlug is physically a bit fragile, as the SD card is sticking out. When this is not an issue, the SheevaPlug is also fine.
ALIX.3D3 is the one most users work with (nicer form factor as ALIX.1D in the opinion of most).
