ebox 3300 dead?

Post by Maineiac »

Hi,
I'm using an ebox 3300 to run meteohub on. It's been working flawlessly for quite sometime.
This morning it was not responding and restarting does not help. The power light on front is blinking and that's it.
Anyone had this problem? I'm hoping that the ebox isn't dead!
Thanks

If it is blinking and a reboot is not working and you have reseated the card.....I think it's dead! Just a few weeks ago I helped a friend out with the exact same problem....I hooked it up to a screen and keyboard and nothing....it wouldn't even boot and you couldn't get to the BIOS either.....dead! It had been in use for almost 2 years with no problem then just died. Upon buying a new one - we also discovered another piece of the weather station was not working either....I'm thinking he had a power surge that took both out. Previously I had a Ebox 4300 go out too from a electrical surge....user error......but they are very sensitve.......make sure you have them on a good surge protector. I have mine on a UPC battery backup unit!

Now we are having other problems....that's for another post...
