Compiling new kernel

Hi,

as I'm having trouble (can connect sometimes, but no DHCP) to get my Atheros-based WLAN card (Wistron CM9 miniPCI) to work, I'm thinking about updating my ALIX3.D3-based meteohub with a newer kernel.

Has anyone attempted this yet, any tips on what configuration options/modules to include? Are there any kernel versions to work/not work with the meteohub software?
