no-ip.com DNS update doesn't work

Hi,

just updated to MeteoHub 4.9u (Build 1275) on my NSLU2 because I changed from dyndns.org to no-ip.org.
dyndns.org update worked perfectly but with no-ip.com the new IP address doesn't get updated. Can't find any error messages in the log files so I don't know what's the problem. Is there any chance to find out why it doesn't work?
On the MeteoHub network configuration page the only two selections are "no-ip.com" and "dyndns.org" but my no-ip hostname is "hostname.no-ip.org". Perhaps that's the problem?

Like the previous poster I am moving away from dyn.dns. I never had much problem with dyn but they are no longer providing for free accounts so that prompted me to look for alternatives.

I am working with meteohub version 4.9u and I see under the "Network" section of my meteohub there is a drop down menu for dynamic dns service providers with 3 options listed : dyndns.org or no-ip.com or none. I set-up a new account with no-ip and the free one was given a no-ip.biz suffix. I tried to switch to this new dns but like the original poster the update didnt go though.

I wonder have other users encountered this problem and how they have gotten around it? Is there a big move away form dyn.dns now?

It would be helpful to get an additional option "User-defined" with an inputbox for Update-URL.
So all other possible Dynamic DNS Service Providers could be used.

My recommendation is to do the dynamic dns things on your router.
This was just made available for Meteohub for situations a few
years ago when not all routers were able to make use of dynamic dns services.
Today every router I know of does. Therefore, I do not intend to put any
additional efort into this feature.

I do have this problem. The 3G Router i use also only supports the paid service from dyndns and i rather spend 50€ for the meteohub software than paying a ddns provider.
Wouldn`t it just be possible to add one free ddns like the no-ip.biz?
