What the?? My Meteobridge is now reporting two new sensors: one is "Unknown" with a timing of 45H and a value of 25419.20 (no units) and a second one for solar with a value of 142 w/qm Which is all great, except the Meteobridge is attached to a National Geographic 265C (Fine Offset 1090 clone) which has no unknown or solar sensors!
Where did they come from and how do I get rid of them. (Yes, I know the wx stn is a POS) But SOMETHING is inventing readings that MB is understanding. Weird...

Re: New Sensors Suddenly Appear!
Great - so I did a reboot of MB and it says license expired. Thankfully I kept a screen cap of the problem. No point buying a license if sensors get invented.

Re: New Sensors Suddenly Appear!
Hi Tom, as said, I will expand your demo period until we get your issues solved.
Invented sensors do sometimes happen with WH1080 like units as Meteobridge
can't know if a sol/uv station is added to it. It tires to derive that from
reading that sensor fields and if they look like possible values it displays those.
When I find some time I will tweak the recognition algorithm a bit bit to
make it even less often happen, but is not on my #1 list.
It does take no harm to the other values. Just ignore, if you don't have
that attached.
Tryout period is set to end of July. Please power cycle...

Re: New Sensors Suddenly Appear!
OK - thanks Boris. I will give it a shot but I am really start to regret bothering with this POS cheap weather station. Wildly inaccurate etc. Its only redeeming feature is low cost. I honestly thought it would be better. I am puzzled though as to how MB finds data in the stream that it makes into a sensor? Is there actual junk in the packet that MB misinterprets??
Re: New Sensors Suddenly Appear!
BTW, just rebooted. Now there is no outdoor temp. <sigh> I better find the Costco receipt...
Re: New Sensors Suddenly Appear!
wh1080 does not report sensors in some meaningfull way, but allows to
read portions of the internal storage. meteobridge does interpret that
block of data. there is no crc or else so misreadings can happen.
i guess the outdoor sensor will show up after some time. rf reception
is not too great with these units, especially, if you are used to
davis rf capabilities. may be a vue is a better choice and when you
make use of a diy logger, costs can be cut a bit.

Re: New Sensors Suddenly Appear!
Alas, the latest firmware makes DIY loggers a troublesome thing. I will look at trying an Acurite station (maybe the same quality issues??)
Also, is there any way to remove (not just clear) the erroneous sensors and their data?

Re: New Sensors Suddenly Appear!
hopefully its just a faulty weather station.
after the help from admin, Boris is it? your help in diagnosing the fault i have not had to reboot the unit for 9 days, 3 hours, 25 minutes and counting. license has been bought a few days ago.
now i just need to wait for weatherundergorund to lift their game and update their iphone app/site and all will be awesome.
thanks

FIXED! >> Re: New Sensors Suddenly Appear!
Seems to be fixed with latest release. Awesome. The Nat Geo 265C/WS1090 is still a POS though.
