Vantage Pro 2 - Maintain time on console?

Post by RickNY »

Does Meteobridge utilize NTP at all to periodically set the time on the Vantage Pro 2's console? Similar to what weewx does? If not, can this be considered a request in a future release?

Thanks,
Rick

It does use NTP but it does not set Vantage clock.

Can setting it be considered for a future release?

Why not set the console time manually? As far as I know it keeps synchonized via a radio clock embedded in the Vantage.

The Vantage Pro2 has no time syncing mechanism... That was one of the nice things about Weewx was that it would sync the clock via NTP if it detected too much drift (and with the Weatherlink IP it drifts quite a bit)
