Davis Envoy - 1 minute update only **solved**

Post by hajovka »

Hello,
I am using Davis VP2 + Davis Envoy and USB datalogger + USB hub + TP-LINK TL-WR703N. But this have only 1 minute updates, that I can see at Live data page of MB.
I used Direct connect kit instead of Envoy earlier and have more faster updates, like 2.5s. Why it take so long now? I expect that Envoy will be the same like Console, only without display.
Is there any way how to change this behaviour? This is not for rapid fire use, that I planned.

Meteobridge checks if something changed compared to last record, as it does not make any sense to upload identical records in 5 second intervals. Often the wind sensor does show recent updates. When it is calm, this change event is missing and you will see less recent updates.
Meteobridge takes care that at least every minute an update is send, regardless if there are changes or not.

Yes, it is calm weather nowadays and it explain almost everything. I was worried, that my new Envoy did not work like it can. So when I want 5 second update at Weather Undergroud and it it will be windy then the update of sensors will be much more faster and also the update?

For future Envoy users: It is necessary to update your Envoy to latest firmware 3.12 http://www.davisnet.com/support/weather ... _frmwr.asp , because when you stick at 3.0 you will experience problems with data feed and occasionally system stops.
