kann es sein, daß die Endlosschleife des Directory myweb (siehe auch Forum #1348) noch nicht beseitigt ist. Hatte mittels "rm /data/myweb/myweb" unter 2.5d diese schleife gelöscht.

Nach Update auf 2.6 von eben ist die Schleife wieder da.

Not sure if this is v2.6 relatated, but I just discovered that graph files example1.mg and example3.mg are seemingly corrupt here at least - both files are simply a series of zero bytes...

example2.mg and example4.mg seem fine.

Result:
a) USB stick images 2.6 seem to be ok (both, 2GB and 4GB ).

b) installing update 2.6 onto a 2.4 system works ok. no cyclic /data/myweb folder.

What exactly did you update from and to when the cyclic folder or example problem arises?

I have the 'cyclic' myweb folder as well as the zero filled examples.

Neither the 'cyclic' web folder not the zero filled examples are significant problems for me - but they are there.

Most recently I updated from 2.5d to 2.6.

So far as I'm aware I have installed every incremental update (except for the optional multi-language extension) since I started using Meteohub. I always download to a local folder, then use the 'web' install.

The last stick image installed would have been 2.1 I think.

Mein Meteohub war die Version 2.4e, habe dann auf 2.5 von da auf 2.5d upgedatet. Hier war mit einmal die Endlosschleife in /public/myweb/myweb/my.. usw..
Habe dann versucht unter KDE die Schleife zu löschen, bekam eine Systemfehlermeldung, habe mich auf dem Meteohub eingelogt und mit "rm /data/myweb/myweb" die Schleife gelöscht. Sie war definitiv nicht mehr da. Habe dann auf 2.6 upgedatet und sie war wieder da. Das war alles. Habe Sie wieder glöscht und bisher ist sie nicht wieder in Erscheinung getreten.

PS. Ich hoffe, ich habe richtig verstanden und es ist recht das ich in Deutsch schreibe und bitte um Nachsicht bei allen englisch sprechenden und schreibenden Usern.

Thanks for your detailed reports. I found the bug. Will be fixed with 2.6a.

I installed the 4GB disk image using the copy from USB stick method. I saved my previous settings and then restored the settings to the new stick.

The new stick has an error in the syslog that it can't open the usb device (WMR-100). I've reset the weather station and rebooted the meteohub with no success.

At any time, I can shutdown and swap in my old v2.4 stick and everything works fine... no need to reset the weather station. When I look through the various configuration pages on the meteohub everything looks the same on both sticks (v2.4 and v2.6).

I feel like this is something very basic that I forgot to do, but I can't figure it out. Any suggestions?

two things to check:

1) did the log file on the USB stick you created the new usb stick from indicate that this went ok? Please post the contents here.

2) please post the "meteohub log" of the meteohub log file section. What does it exactly say?

This line indicates that Meteohub is trying to connect to a WMR-928 instead of your WMR-100:
logger (13.07.2008 17:18:41): started WMR-928 (0).

Please go the to "weather station" page, switch to something not "wmr-100", press "save", switch back to "wmr-100", press "save".

This should alter the data logger config file for sure.
