Internet via elektricity net possible with meteohub

Post by J.S. »

Should be possible, but to be sure I would like to ask. Over here, in my province, I can use internet via this net if I want to. You attach the router to the electricitynet via a special connector and then you can use it throughout your house. No hassle with wireless etc. Just another adapter and your done. two adapter cost 55 euro's over here. Any reason to think this will not work with the NSLU2?

in general meteohub works regardless of the media the ethernet packages are going through. So ethernet over power should do. Eventually DCHP broadcasting wouldn't do so that you have to configure your meteohub with a static IP. Beside that I would not expect any problems.

I am using A-link ethernet-over-power adapters and they work fine, also with DHCP. You can't tell difference between them and wired connection (except from speed).
