Retrieve data from Meteobridge to weatherlink

Post by Clément »

Hello,

Is there any way to retrieve data from Meteobridge to weatherlink?
For example, to have the bulletin window opened to see live data.

Thanks,

Thanks,
If you really want to use the WeatherLink program
If it is an WLIP (ip logger) maybe it would work, probably not
All other loggers only support 1 connection.
I suspect that almost all WLIP loggers are realy a serial logger with an IP converter, thats why they do not like permanent ip connections.

The only way to have two weather programs talking to the same ip-logger is to use VVP (Vitual VP). But that would need a pc running 24/24 hours 7/7 days. And that would kill the statement "I use an energy efficient device" for my weatherstation.

So better use the Meteobridge dashboard:
By using the iPhone / website dashboard which you can use free of charge you will have live dials and so on.
Example on my demonstration webpage: http://www.wiri.be/weather2/index.php?p=10-1

You can use that dashboard on any iPhone/iPad or in your browser. You do not need a webpage for that.
The link is on the Meteobridge tab "Weather Network"

Success, Wim

Hello Wim,
Thanks for your answer.

So Meteobridge has no data retransmit function to other programms.

Where can I find the dashboard as on your website?
Is there any way to access a webpage stored on the MeteoBridge which will contain the dashboard?

Ok... I'll try that.

But would it be hard to add a feature like Virtual VP on the MeteoBridge System?
It would be nice to download data on a PC from time to time...

Thanks.

yes, I tried that and because of tight timings of all the SW around here the idea of routing
requests through to the console when Meteobridge pauses communication does not work reliable.
The alternative would be to write a complete vantage protocol emulator, but that is no option
as no-one will pay me that much money compensating the pain in reworking this thing they
were brave enough to call it a "protocol".

When you like the weatherlink website, you can use a WLIP that uploads data to the davis
weatherlink web pages in parallel to working with Meteobridge. May be this helps you out
for the moment.
