TP-MR3020 & Meteobridge issue **solved**

Hi,

I dedicated this weekend to connect my weather station to the internet, and decided to try the MR-3020 TP-link, taking advantage of the trial period for using meteobridge.
Follow the information provided at http://www.meteobridge.com/wiki/index.p ... ng_Started, all the process went smoothly.

From here, my station was sent data without problems for Wunderground for about 20 hours until a power failure occurs.
After that, I could not access anymore the MR-3020 either via LAN or WLAN. I also tried the tips suggested in "Cloud Simulator for Network Configuration", without success. The WPS LED does not stop blinking.

Then I've tried OpenWRT access in recovery mode with success, but I don't have Linux skills that will allow me to move more.

I do not understand what you have spent with Meteobridge.
Can anyone help me please?

Sounds like missing the mandatory USB Hub or something configured wrong inside network settings.
Please don't go down to OpenWRT unless you are completely familiar with that.

I would recommend to go back to factory defaults as explained on the "getting started" page.
Please do the 5 blinks total reset as explained there. After that Meteobridge will restart
in LAN DHCP mode.

Power-cycles don't do any harm, there must have been something wrong before that
which came to the surface on the power fail.

Back to default procedure, unfortunely does not result.
I've tryed to press the WPS button after the boot, when the WPS led comes blinking very accelerated. I've pressed the button until the led comes on for 5 times. Is this procedure correct?
After release the button, the led becomes fixed on, with the power led. No more leds come on.
I don't know what realy happens with this router, as I said worked perfectly with meteobridge during 1 day.

when you power cycle it. Can you reach the web interface?
If yes, can you login on port 22 via ssh?
If yes, can you please setup port forwarding on your router to let me login on port 22?

Hi, thanks again for your support.

I think the problem was solved.
I also believe that it is originated by the bridge mode (meteobridge network setup), which prevented the MR3020 to connect to my router's DHCP server.
I say this because today after performing a reset to factory defaults, I wired the MR3020 directly to my router and it received an IP address immediately. I Set it up again, and marked bridge mode. When I hung up and pulled the network cable, it does not connected to the DHCP server via WLAN. I could only do that when I removed the flag from the bridge mode.
At this moment all is ok, instead a smtp connection to gmail server (individual e-mail service)

However, port forwarding on port 22 is done , and you can establish a SSH connection.

Bridge mode works fine, but what did you want to connect via that mode? What did you want to "bridge"?

I am sure that your WLAN credentials did fail and/or you did kill it by doing settings on OpenWRT level.
WLAN credential failures are the most common problem when users switch from LAN to WLAN mode.

By placing the bridge mode = ON, I intended to bridge between 2 lan's, the PC lan that I setup MR3020 and the router that support my WLAN. It seems I did not understand the concept of using this flag correctly.
As for OpenWRT, I do not performed any modification. I just noticed that I could link to that level.
However, everything seems to function normally, and within a few more days, I'll buy the license.
