I just rebooted the Meteobridge and received the newest firmware. Unfortunately, the newest version doesn't want to use my VirtualVP TCP/IP port which talks to my Davis VP1+ console logger. The startup looks like this
wnetd (16.03.2014 20:55:33): process started.
logger (16.03.2014 20:55:36): Historical data loaded (18 records).
logger (16.03.2014 20:55:36): data logger (version 4.9w, build 3472) started.

logger (16.03.2014 20:59:33): disconnect station 0 (Vantage): response without data
The last version I had working was V2.1 (build 3148)
So I tried changing it to another TCP/IP port on a different instance of VirtualVP, and got the following
logger (16.03.2014 21:15:51): Historical data loaded (18 records).
logger (16.03.2014 21:15:51): data logger (version 4.9w, build 3472) started.
logger (16.03.2014 21:15:52): connect station 0 (Vantage via TCP/IP).
logger (16.03.2014 21:15:53): station 0 (Vantage), wakeup sent.
logger (16.03.2014 21:15:53): station 0 (Vantage), internal logger activated.
logger (16.03.2014 21:15:54): station 0 (Vantage), syncing.
logger (16.03.2014 21:16:04): station 0 (Vantage), gettime request sent.
logger (16.03.2014 21:16:04): station 0 (Vantage), no Vantage time offset.
logger (16.03.2014 21:16:04): station 0 (Vantage), eeprom request sent.

logger (16.03.2014 21:16:04): station 0 (Vantage), firmware version request sent.
logger (16.03.2014 21:16:20): station 0 (Vantage), no firmware version returned.
logger (16.03.2014 21:16:20): station 0 (Vantage), no reading of Vantage's internal logger.
This afternoon exactly the same here, Meteobridge was not reading the data for hours before I found out.
VVP keeps supplying data to all attached weather programs all afternoon.
But meteobridge stopped listening.

I did no reboot whatsoever. And there was no power interruption.
I treied a different approach compared to Ken:
I restarted VVP and Meteobridge connected nicely again to the same IP/port.
But I get NO new messages for the logger. Only the old are vissible.
Do not know what is the cause of all this.
Best regards,
Wim
P.S. Boris you still have the mac address and so on. feel free to take a look if necessary.
