The same high-quality cards as in the currently sold Alix systems are also sold by
varia-store.com Meteohub-ready-system-with-VGA-and-WLAN-

You should use a SLC card to get enough rounds. I keep a spare of the Transcend UDMA 300X 4GB CompactFlash card (SLC).

Please check the type of card you have now.
This is from the introduction of V4.9 of Meteohub
One round is equivalent to writing every block of the flash media one time.
SLC flash accompanied with a good wear leveling algortihm should stand a few thousand rounds.
Cheap MLC usb sticks with inferior wear leveling are at risk to start failing after 100 rounds.
So if you are using the card which originally came with your Alix you can calculate the number of rounds and see if you are reaching a 1000 or more rounds. If not and it is a Transcend Indstrial SLC card you have ample time to shop.
