Newbie question about RPIB+

Post by babis3g »

Hi forgive me if i have few questions but i am new to RPI & in general to meteohub

I have a WS-1080 and for now i just want to simply send data 24/7 without having my pc on ... at wonderground, weatherbug and some other online weather sites (not my own page yet) so i am looking for now the cheapest solution the rpi B+ offers ( i have read the normal B is better due to the design of the SD card but the shops i know is been disconnected -has stopped selling - the normal B ... & also the B+ offer more USB at the same price, so this is the future one)

1-
if i get the rpi B+ ... it comes in the box with an 8GB microSD card with pre installed NOODS ...
The question is:
Do i have to format the card & is this possible the NOODS to be deleted? so install the meteo image 5.0?
or just load the meteohub image on top of the NOODS?

2-
I dont have rpi keyboard ...
The question is:
can i change the settings anytime i want without keyboard? or how can i change the settings? by connecting to windows pc will be ok? (my pc is windows)

3-
Can i send data to more than 2-3 online stations at same time? (weather underground, weather bug, meteo etc?

4-
if i get the standard meteo license 59 euro, do i have to pay every year?

Thank you for understanding & thank you for your time

1) yes, or you can buy another micro sd card and put Meteohub on that. Meteohub image is installed low level on the card, so it wipes out all that has been there before.

2) Meteohub is controlled via your browser, it is headless, no monitor/keyboard needed.

3) yes, all that are supported can be fed in parallel.

4) it is a one-time fee.
