Correction factors for barometric pressure

Post by lolps.d20 »

I am in the process of setting up a meteobridge to connect to a Davis Vantage Vue.
The meteobridge setup software asks me for the height above sea level for the station.
I have already set this into the Davis console so it is making the correction to the data coming from the weather station.
The Davis console is connected to the router with the IP cable.
So if the data for barometric pressure is already corrected for altitude before the meteobridge picks it up, will the correction be made twice?

I have also posed this question to Davis and haven't received an answer.

So far every website where I am sending data is asking the same questions in the setup.

The real question is the Davis weather link IP cable passing corrected or uncorrected data.

You have to enter the correct altitude on the Meteobridge "select station" tab. Apart from that no manual correction needs to be applied, unless your stations sensor has a drift you want to compensate on top of tis.
