no evapotranspiration data from meteobridge

Post by pjfranklin »

Just added a solar radiation sensor to my Vantage Pro 2. Radiation and evapotranspiration showed up on my Davis console shortly afterwards, but only getting solar radiation on my meteobridge. There is no solar evo on the Live Data screen, and requesting it in a template from template.cgi using [sol0evo-daysum] returns the template. It's a wireless station using the meteostick. Meteobridge was rebooted to pickup updates, and meteostick firmware was updated, still no go. Is there anything else I need to do to get evapotranspiration from the meteobridge?
Thanks!

At the moment the Meteostick does not compute evapotranspiration.

Ah, makes sense. I didn't realize what all goes into the calculation, and naively assumed it was coming from the ISS. It obviously comes from the console when the Meteostick isn't used. I guess the relatively limited resources on the Arduino makes the calculation a bit of a challenge on the Meteostick! It seems possible in theory since there's a barometric sensor onboard, but there's always that problem of insufficient code-space...

Thanks for the quick reply!

Meteobridge could do it in theory, but I am lacking detail show to compute that and it needs to be a cummulated value,
so keeping data during reboots etc have to be handled as well. Not that easy...

Hello.

Any chance of sol0evo being implemented in meteostick?

Thanks in advance, Tjeerd
