I just got a Weatherhub from Ambient weather. I updated Meteohub to version 2.5. I have my Davis Vantage Pro 2 hooked up to the Weatherhub with a serial datalogger and a Dynex usb to serial adapter from Best Buy. It is based on the PL2303 chipset.
logger (05.07.2008 01:09:43): USB chip set: Vendor ID 067b:2303
logger (05.07.2008 01:09:44): rain collector size 0.01 inch per tick
logger (05.07.2008 01:09:44): transmitter 2 active as station type (#0) "ISS".
I notice with weather underground rapid fire updates, the wind speed will not show up correctly. Before I updated to version 2.5, I had 2.3 and the rain fall didnt not show up either. I dont know if this is corrected with 2.5 because it hasnt rained since.
Do I need an FTDI chipset based usb to serial adapter to fix this?
Thanks for your help!

Re:Ambient Weather Weatherhub
When you receive some data (temp for example) then your RS232/USB converter seems fine.
Please goto the sensors page and press once "save". After that all sensors shown are registered. Then got to "weather network" page and select the sensors for wind/rain/etc. having done this press "save".
After that updates of data to WU etc should work fine.
Regards,
Boris

Weather Underground Rapid Fire Flash stickers are now looking great!
Your suggestion fixed the rainfall from N/A to 0.00 and the wind speed looks like it is updating correctly with the latest Meteohub update of 2.5d! Very well done, I love the product.
Thanks so much!

Re: Ambient Weather Weatherhub
I understand your issues with the software, as I have the same setup you do. However, Meteohub is a work-in-progress, and Boris is more than happy to work with you to figure out what's going on and if there's a problem, how to fix it. He has been very receptive with my Davis issues, including fixing a tough-to-find wind speed rounding bug earlier, and also getting solar radiation and UV intensity up and working.
