Vantage Pro2 Station Type identified as #5 (Rain)

Post by RickNY »

I previously posted about this in the Sheevaplug forum, but deleted it because nobody responded, and thought maybe it wasn't the best forum.

I have a Vantage Pro2 ISS. The console I am using for the Davis IP datalogger is a Vantage Vue. The Vue console has the ISS configured as a VP2 ISS.

Meteohub identifies the station type as #5 (Rain) instead of #1 (ISS). Is this a cosmetic issue, or can this impact data recording?

Meteohub log shows the following:

logger (03.04.2015 17:55:47): data logger (version 5.0i, build 1594) started.
logger (03.04.2015 17:55:48): connect station 0 (Vantage via TCP/IP).
logger (03.04.2015 17:55:48): station 0 (Vantage), wakeup sent.
logger (03.04.2015 17:55:48): station 0 (Vantage), internal logger activated.
logger (03.04.2015 17:55:48): station 0 (Vantage), syncing.
logger (03.04.2015 17:55:59): station 0 (Vantage), gettime request sent.
logger (03.04.2015 17:55:59): station 0 (Vantage), no Vantage time offset.
logger (03.04.2015 17:55:59): station 0 (Vantage), eeprom request sent.
logger (03.04.2015 17:56:00): station 0 (Vantage), rain collector size 0.01 inch per tick.
logger (03.04.2015 17:56:00): station 0 (Vantage), transmitter 1 active as station type (#5) "Rain".
logger (03.04.2015 17:56:00): station 0 (Vantage), firmware version request sent.
logger (03.04.2015 17:56:01): station 0 (Vantage), firmware version 3.00
logger (03.04.2015 17:56:01): station 0 (Vantage), no reading of Vantage's internal logger as data gap is less than 10 minutes: 151 secs

When I previously had a VP2 console feeding the datalogger, the Meteohub correctly identified it as station type (#1) "ISS"

Thanks,
Rick
