I did not find this in the manual and read that people over here are actually having trouble getting sensors of neigbours in their log.
Now I use the try-out version to test things with FRXCOM. When I power down the Meteohub and start it up again, the same sensor is not recognised . It is displayed with dashes (as ---) as ID and the temperature and humidity is than displayed. When I asked to do the data check, nothing is dound. On the dashboard, nothing is displayed. Is this because it is not the full version?
Or is this an erro. otherwise, after every power down you not only have to power it up again but also have to install evry individual sensor again..
When I chekc the datalog ("Inspect data", I guess) I only see the last 8 or so readings, I do not see anything older. Yet it is stored because I do so he min, max and average values in the dashboard. Isn't there some sort of file like Davis Weatherlink has, in which every day is displayd in a table and the same for a month (min, max and average of each day)? Where can I find the real and total log of the sensor?
Is this also because it is a trial?
Thanks in advance!

Re:Sensor not recognised after power up and data logging
Strange, I've only seen the ID change with a reset of the sensor.J.S. wrote:When I power down the Meteohub and start it up again, the same sensor is not recognised. It is displayed with dashes (as ---) as ID and the temperature and humidity is than displayed.
At that point have you assigned the sensors (e.g. selected TH0), then clicked 'Save and Restart Datalogging'?When I asked to do the data check, nothing is dound. On the dashboard, nothing is displayed.
Until sensors are assigned their data is not logged.
I've never had to do that.otherwise, after every power down you not only have to power it up again but also have to install evry individual sensor again.
Have you tried changing the 'Time stamp starts at' at the top of that page? I'm not sure what that defaults to.When I chekc the datalog ("Inspect data", I guess) I only see the last 8 or so readings, I do not see anything older
And, as I mentioned above, until you assign the sensors data isn't logged.
You can set up html templates, or you could however maybe get some of what you want from some Meteohub graphs (though the trial does impose limits on the number of graphs you can set up simultaneoulsy) but if I've understood your requirement correctly it sounds as though you need to export the logged data to something that specilalises in display and analysis of weather data like WSWIN.in which every day is displayd in a table and the same for a month (min, max and average of each day)? Where can I find the real and total log of the sensor?
Horses for courses. The NSLU2 is not a high power device.
To the best of my recall (and a quick check of the download page), none of the things you are querying relate to trial version restrictions. Is this also because it is a trial?
Re:Sensor not recognised after power up and data logging
First...this is the sequence:
1) sensor is found..I give it an ID and then save. everything is fine, sensor is now displayed above as th0 and name is test. Go to the dashboard: everything is fine. Inspect data: I get 8 datasets or so.
2) I turn of the NSLU2. It take a couple of seconds. It is out. Than I restart it, start the softeware. Everthing is found and then the sensor is just not recognised. It is recogognised as an unknown sensor.
That's about it. timestamp: I will try to change it.
Thanks.

Re:Sensor not recognised after power up and data logging
Timestamp worked alright now! Thanks. I restarted the deive again and now I had no problem. I have changed nothing though. Just shut the NSLU2 down. Wait half an hour and than on and it works properly. Nice. Now the last thing: getting rfxcom to work withouht NSLU2 to my Windows XP SP1 laptop. It doesn't and I have tried it many times. I have been to the website and the downloaded the drivers for SP1, shut down internet but nothing helps. Did exactly what was written in the pdf file.
