I came across the MB Pro when I was looking for a way to get my Davis weather data onto WU etc without having my MacBook on 24/7.
It worked perfectly out of the box...
Now it's been working for a while I'm interested in some of the other things it can do - but have very limited knowledge!!
I'd like to export data (using a template set up as a "service") so I can pick it up later and import into weather software on my Mac. I appreciate I could download .csv data from WU PWS but that seemed a bit low tech.
I have set an export event up but realise I have no idea where it exports to. I have a Synology NAS set--up and it seemed a nifty idea to export it there.
Any ideas?? The MB pro is wirelessly connected to a BT home hub 5.

Exporting data - Beginners question

Re: Exporting data - Beginners question
Standard templates are typically stored in \\your.mb.pro.ip\data\templates\
Service push exports the output to \\your.mb.pro.ip\data\export\ with the resulting filename dependent on the export selections. Typically a filename with look something like template_name-date-resolution.txt

Thanks for that - although it does make me feel depressingly ignorant.
If I type in the url of my mb pro (192.168. Etc) into safari, it doesn't seem to go anywhere!
Am I being stupid??

Re: Exporting data - Beginners question
Try something like
\\192.168.xx.xx\data\
You should then see 3 folders, export, scripts & templates

D2149, Not sure what the purpose of the above post was all about but it had absolutely nothing to do with or addressed anything the OP queried. So can we keep to the subject and keep that type of irrelevance that has nothing to do with the subject out if it. Doesn't serve any purpose in this post but feel free to start your own thread/s on such subjects.
