Should I try and plug in a USB powered HUB? I have the MeteoStick plugged directly into the usb port on the D-LINK DIR-505. With a usb cable of about 2.5 meters.

I guess the long cable is the problem. Trying a hub might be an option to go with.
Never tried operating with cables above 1m myself.

Further testing results.

a) Used a shorter USB cable with the MeteoStick. ==> Logging died after a couple of hours.
b) Plugged the MeteoStick directly into the D-LINK DIR-505 REV. A1 device ==> Logging died after a couple of hours.
c) Move the D-LINK DIR-505 REV. A1 to a different plug. I have hospital grade plugs installed in my house. Maybe the additional EFI/CFI filtering is having a problem? I'll move it to a standard plug.

When I get it right, the root cause was reduced to a faulty Meteostick which is now being replaced. Let's see if the prblems do diasappear by that (which my guess is).

So you think the MeteoStick is faulty?

If you are not the customer I had a similar email exchange on this, I think I messed that up.
Too many mails and sometimes not that easy to link forum postings with pms.

However, if you allow me to login remotely, I can check if the meteostick is the problem.
Can you please send me dail-in details again, to "info(at)meteobridge.com".

So far the most I can get it to log is about 4-5 hours.

There is connectivity issue. So check it and reboot the process.

I just rebooted it. I also just attached a power USB hub to the MeteoStick and the Dlink router. Let's see if the extra juice of the USB hub makes a difference. :D
