davis weatherlink errors

Post by stevem »

Hi,

I've moved my Davis VP 2 with USB interface from a laptop running Davis weatherlink to feed a Mr3020/meteobridge (with USB hub) running latest software. The meteobridge is receiving live data. It looks fine. I've also reconfigured my laptop weatherlink to draw its data from the meteobridge (port 22222) rather than directly from the VP2/usb. Weatherlink sees the virtual ip datalogger in meteobridge and seems to be receiving data. However, the weatherlink software is displaying errors in its log during the transfer process as follows:

GetAcknowledge () response 0x10 (should be 0x06 ACK).
and
GetAcknowledge () response 0x0D (should be 0x06 ACK).

The implication appears to me to be that the meteobridge isn't emulating the datalogger completely/correctly.

Are these error messages common? Do they indicate anything awry?

Any help appreciated.

Rgds

Here is a copy of the error log. The errors were not present when the download came directly from the Davis logger.
Is no one else seeing this behaviour?

Admin Hi,

The site is remote (150km away) but in a few weeks I will visit.

When I am there I might be able to get you a wireshark network trace. Would that be helpful?

Regards

This is something related to timing expected by the reading program. As I am not using this,
I cannot comment or dig further. When I get it right the operation does finally run through
fine but throws some warnings. So just ignore the warnings for now.
