MBPro UTC and Local Time Problem

I recently configured the MBPro and all is working except the UTC and Local time are the same even if I select the tab for America/Los Angeles followed by save and apply. Yesterday I re-selected the same tab, America/LosAngeles, and it corrected itself after a save and apply. But now today, the times match again and save and apply does nothing. The device was rebooted several times during configuration and then today, I noticed the same problem. I am not sure why this problem keeps popping up. I looked in the forums but saw no solution. Any ideas?

Update: I rebooted and all is good again. Not sure why this happened. Still would like info if you have experienced this too.

There should be a message pop up informing you that changing time zones needs a reboot to make it fully applied.
