USB 2 Hub help

Post by scholefn »

Hi

I have just added a 2nd Meteobridge device to a new property I have purchased. I set it up today, and didn't have time to get it to work properly. Unfortunately it's 4 hours drive away so not sure when I'm going to be able to get it going if it requires any physical interaction!

I set it up last week at home, connecting to the Internet device I planned to use at the property. I have an Ambient Weather based station (exactly the same as my home one). The station is working fine at the property and reporting data to the console monitor thing. I have it connected to a TL-3020 with Meteobridge via a USB 2.0 hub. I had this working OK at home, but now there's an error on the 'Weather Station' page showing;

System Message
Warning: This combination of hardware platform, firmware and weather station needs a USB 2.0 Hub to have the weather station connected.

I have some history in Wunderground using this same setup so it was working at some stage.

Here's the log from the System tab that keeps repeating every 10 mins.

logger (09.10.2016 20:09:31): child process received timeout signal (14).
logger (09.10.2016 20:09:31): disconnect station 0 (WH-1080/3080): exit
logger (09.10.2016 20:09:32): data logger stopped.
logger (09.10.2016 20:09:32): Historical data loaded (19 records).
logger (09.10.2016 20:09:32): data logger (version 5.0r, build 10435) started.
logger (09.10.2016 20:09:32): connect station 0 (WH-1080/3080 via USB HID).

Is there something else I can troubleshoot remotely? Hopefully it's not the USB 2.0 hub that's stopped working somehow? It's a 4 port hub and I tried a couple of the ports in case that was the problem?

Thanks

Nick

Hi

Can anyone confirm whether the sequence from the log means that there's no weather station attached via USB?

Thanks

Looks like no data coming in. Please disconnect weather station from power and batteries as this models hangs up the USB port sometimes.
