Rate of uploading to Weather Networks

Post by JPB »

Hi - these snapshots were taken around 10:45AM local time on October 21 (Pacific Daylight Time).

Note that the first screen shot shows part of the weather network configuration. Note how most things are 'every minute' or 'every five minutes' or 'every 10 minutes' - pretty much, set to the minimum allowed. The second screen shot shows the results from "Live Data". These are much further in the past than they should be.

When I look at my TPLINK Meteobridge in the same house (I am moving from a Meteobridge to a Meteobridge PRO, one weather network at a time), I see that it shows updates on a clean, regular schedule. None are as far behind as are shown here.

Why are the times shown in "Live Data" so much further in the past than I see on my TPLINK-based Meteobridge?

Thanks!

I rebooted my meteobridge after seeing that inability to upload (and yes, I was able to access it via a web browser) - and after reboot, it did connect.

What I saw next, this morning, is that the device would reboot - FREQUENTLY. Every few minutes. That wreaked havoc with uploading to weather websites, and so on a whim I have taken it off using wireless, and have it hooked up to a wired LAN. All parameters are the same - fixed IP address, etc.

If this stays stable for a day or so, I could try going back to wireless IP connectivity, just to see what happens. But are there crash logs or other things I can obtain that might help, or log files? It's easy enough to 'ssh' into the box and log in and extract files directly from the device, if needed.

...well, using hardwired Ethernet seems to have stabilized it somewhat. It now rebooted only once in the past 6 hours vs. doing it every few minutes. It's been up just over 3 hours now.

Setting infinite retries is not recommended, as you will see failed packets (may be user id/password wrong) will be tried endlessly. A reboot will clear up things. The spontanous reboots alarm me a bit. Do you have a chance to give me remote access? Please mail credentials to "info@meteobridge.com".
