Missing first 0.2 mm rainfall

Post by wsnoordbergum »

Whenever I have rebooted my meteobridge the first raincount is missing.
So my console shows f.i. 0.8mm my meteobridge shows 0.6mm
This is only so on the first raincount after a reboot.
If it's raining the next day everything works fine and the first count is correct.

I guess this is a bug and has not been fixed (yet).
It has been since version 2.5 or so.
I'm running version 3.1 built 30 Oct.
I'm using meteostick for collecting the data of my Davis VP2.

Hope it can be fixed...

Same problem here, as well as the rain starts, the MeteoBridge / MeteoStick often missed the first 0.2mm.

Sorry that is not logical to me. Did you really test that when you reboot
the Meteobridge and then manually trigger one rain fall tick then the first tick
is ignored? I really don't think so and I am reluctant to invest half an hour to
find out in the end that it is not true. So please double check before allocating
my time to it.

Well an update...
Still missing the first 0,2 mm of rainfall.
On my template the rain last hour does show 0,2mm buut total rain of the day is still 0,0.
See picture...
Image
Screenshot of live data tab also shows maximum rainrate of 0,8mm/h

So is this still a bug or am I the only MB user whose device is miscounting.
Again if it should rain tomorrow, everything will be fine.

Still strange.

Edit: I'm using Meteobridge 3.2 (Jan 17 2017, build 10804), FW 1.4
On my console everything is ok and the 0,2mm does shoow up.

I tested on MB PRO and MB with Meteostick and I cannot reproduce the issue.
So no idea how to get there. When you give me remote access I can add
some additional logging, which might help finding the issue.

Yesterday I updated meteostick firmware, and as a result the logger restarted etc.
This is normal like a "warm boot"
And sure enough today it's raining and my console reads 4.0mm of rain and my meteobridge ...... 3.8mm
So admin I granted you access to my meteobridge, see PM.

Well I'm not gonna reboot the device too often.
Just add 0.2 mm manually after first rain

Seems I am one of then few with this bug.

Hi

You are not the only one out there with the problem. I have had the same problem for at least a year but it was deemed not an urgent issue. (viewtopic.php?f=56&t=9695) However, the odd thing is it reports the missing amount to Meteoplug making the Meteoplug rain data accurate.

An odd bug to say the least

My set up
TL-MR3020 latest versions
Acurite Smarthub
5in1 Sensor
