The log file says that DNS update was not succesfull because it was misconfigured or something like that. I do not know what I did wrong, because password, hostname etc are right.
here´s a screenshot sequence from my Speedtouch showing step by step how to setup portforwarding for port 8888 to meteohubs internal IP-address.

My meteohub is now reachable via port 8888 as well:

In regards to your DYNDNS problem.
I guess the dyndns service on the router is stuck. It would help to reboot.

Here´s a nice tool for your ST router:

* Anmerkung: DMT Version ist Annex A, B und M kompatibel;

Wekll, in all the commotion 9my commotion) I of course forgot that to UPLOAD data, all these settings are not necessary. This also minimises the chance of intrusions etc. So for the time being, I could set it up like this and get all the data sent to me, while i try diverse settings.

Your screenshots are much appreciated again and I will try to use them somewhere this week(end). Busy at work, so not much of time to do so.

Is a router reboot something that is often necessary??
It has never been rebooted after changing the settings, may be this is necessary also after doing so?

Thanks!

I saw the pictures on picasa. I am pretty sure that I have never seen the option that I can manually change the ports (although yu do not use it), but neither the ability to clone the ports either.

I have e-mail the service provider and they will take a look for me. Wait and see.

called the provider and a specialist

Post by J.S. »

First, the specialist...he installed many Speedtouch routers but was not so sure if he could make this work. So he told me he would call me after he consulted another specialist. And he did call me. Porbably problem: Solcon provider, which is a provider that filters on porn, violence etc.

So I called solcon...they told me this would not be a problem. So he asked me the WAN IP of the router. I gave it, it was not correct. He told me what it was. An oldie...I saw this number before! Now I used whatsmy IP. He told me that wouldn't work, because they used a transparent proxyserver, so the WAN I got was the one of the server and not from the router.

Uploading should ne no problem whatsoever. So will test this next weekend and hope it will be ready by then...

BTW: dyndns is not necessary as their WAN IP is always the same (the guy told me). Or is it of any use anyway?

Can dyndns, when it is not working, get in the way??
