meteobridgePRO keeps losing signal from weather station

Post by gdb10 »

I recently upgraded to the meteobridge PRO so I could connect directly to my Davis Pro2 system and bypass the computer. The unit keeps losing the signal. The logs reads that there is no rf signal, and does not report to outside services. I tried everything in the forums, and even added the longer antenna, but it still loses the signal. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have the display showing the rf signal and when it is working the station reads between 50 and 60db while the wind station reads around 75db. It seems to lose the signal from the main station more frequently than the wind station. The main station is about 30' from the meteobridge and the wind station is about 50'. The meteobridge sits next to the window that faces the station.

So any other 900mhz stuff running loose close by?

What part of the world are you located and can you confirm your Davis system/s ISS/Transmitters/console etc as a US, EU, AU or NZ versions.

What are your value settings for RF Module RD Sens. db/ narrow/normal or wise? Assuming you have the Station tab [Use internal RF receiver] ticked and [RF Module Vantage] radio button ticked and showing green tick?

Thanks for the reply.
There is a wireless telephone 2.4Gh and the cable tv box in the same room. The tv remote is an rf transmitter and the box is sitting on top of the cabinet that the tv is in. The MB is about 3' above the cable tv box.

I am in the Houston area in the US and have the rf setting with the Vantage Station on 915 with narrow setting and -80db. Station 1 is the ISS and Station 2 is the Wind receiver. I am using the internal rf and it is getting a green check.

For the most part the connections stay good. It intermittently loses contact during the day for various lengths of time. As I stated earlier, I did change out the antenna for the larger one recommended on the website.
