Need more Calibrations

Post by azchrisf »

There is a temperature and humidity calibration on the consoles.
You have Pressure Correction and Temperature Offset, but no Humidity Correction. Humidity Stretch is different.

If I'm using the MB, and I know the sensor is out of whack by 0.5%, 1%, whatever - I need a way to adjust it,
and the MB Pro doesn't provide any way to do this.

I think a separate page or a bigger section of all possible adjustments needs to be added.

I dont think so. What do you want to achieve in terms of humidity calibration?

Think about it - Davis provides the same way to adjust Humidity just like you can Temperature and Baro pressure.

Page 26 of the Console Manual:
https://www.davisnet.com/product_docume ... _06312.pdf

What sense does it make:

1. To have a Temperature & Pressure correction in Meteobridge, but no Humidity, especially when Dewpoint is calculated from both and that can be wildly off without correction?
2. To not have an adjustment for Humidity, when the console does, and I cannot use the console to do this anymore because I am using
the Meteobridge for the extra sensors? This basically handicaps me and others and makes the weather data incorrect.

Like I said, if you know your Humidity sensor is off by whatever percent in either direction, it makes no sense to report an incorrect Humidity reading to WU, CWOP, etc.

Sensors age and get out of tolerance, so it's important to have.

Meteobridge allows for a humidity calibration. What is wrong with using this?
