Help with acurite internet bridge and weather underground with MR3020

Post by Paul Gee »

:?:
Today I received a new MR3020 hw 1.9 and sucrssfully flashed the MB 3.5 fw 1.5. Connected to wifi network and logged into the mb without any issues.

I then connected the acurite internet bridge and clicked on unlink sensors. In the weather network tab i added the details for my current weather underground account and stopped the acurite internet bridge uploading data to weather underground.

Everything seemed to be going well..... until I checked weather underground and found it reporting all kind of weird stuff so I went back to WB and checked the settings as follows.

Tolerated age of data. 5 mins
Save historical data 10 mins.

I noticed the tick box for unlink sensors will NOT stay checked.

On the weather station tab it’s set to upload every 5 seconds. Retry forever.

At first the station id and password boxes had red check marks next to them.

The system seems to be set up correctly with time and location.

In the live Data tab there’s a Red Cross and all sorts of error messages. Including error NO DATA RECEIVED (unlimited more tries)

The live data boxes has collected the data from The 5 in 1 weather station and two remote sensors I have in the house and another sensor and soil temp probe i have in the garden.

When checking back to weather underground the data seemed to be wrong. And wouldn’t update until I went back to MB and refreshed it there or rebooted it.

Nothing seems to work to get weather underground to work properly.

Next I tried to create a new weather station on weather underground and created another id and password.

I had the same problems with this new account too. The data on weather underground seems to be wrong.

After several hours trying to solve this weather underground seems to have deleted BOTH my weather station accounts and won’t let me create a third.

What am I doing wrong?

I would hazard to say it's probably the way WU's systems are currently functioning, which isn't real good at all. WU has heaps of problems so don't break anything on your side trying to counter WU's failings.

Thanks,

I've set the acurite internet hub to send data to WU which appears to be working correctly on WU maps, however the MB data that is being sent to WU seems to being misinterpreted by the WU, there is no barometric display and the outside temp is showing at -5572.8 ℃ !

(ive created another site on WU that is using the data from MB so I can compare the data)

Is there a way to see what data is being sent to WU from MB to diagnose where the problem lies?

ok, So I have tried again to set up a new site on Weather Underground....

Everything seems to be working EXCEPT.... again there is NO barometric data on the WU site.

Any Idea what this might be?

PS where are the latest MB firmware versions located for download?

PG

You have to expect WU at this point in time.

Updates controlled by the System tab>Maintenance>Version Control settings on re-boot
