Email Template - ° Deg Symbol

MBPro services Email template such as

Wind Dir : [wind0dir-act=endir] [wind0dir-act.0:--]°

when received looks like the following in Outlook 2013

Wind Dir : SSE 163�

Starts as a decimal degree symbol and comes through as a ? in a black triangle? Have tried several different methods with inserting the ° symbol but end result the same, any trick with this.
