Davis IP logger issue **solved**

Post by stevem »

Hi,
Our Davis IP logger (on a VP2) has stopped sending data to the weatherlink. This appears to have started happening following a reboot of meteobridge a little over a week ago that picked up the latest 3.6 June 9 software release. The meteobridge has the 1 min WLIP option set. Is there any chance anything in this area change in that release?

You could try setting the WL upload to 5 minutes to double check there is not a conflict.

Also there is quite a bit of pending activity with Davis migration and version 2 of WL.com but this shouldn't be stopping anything at the moment?

Thanks, I've tried that to no avail. It's confusing because in other respects the logger is working fine passing data through to the meteobridge as it should. The meteobridge is on the same network segment as the logger and it (the meteobridge) is successfully pumping data out to the internet so it is hard to envisage any internet connectivity issue. If I can't get any hints I'll have to power down the meteobridge - which is physically quite difficult and for operational reasons not what I want to do - and give the logger free reign.

To confirm or otherwise if it's something with the latest FW update you could set it to Version 3.5 and check.

Good idea. How do I trigger that?

On the system tab, maintenance window, Version control drop down box and select "stick to Version 3.5", then reboot.

As it got quiet here I guess it was a problem solved somehow.
