FTP Weather Underground Camera

Post by Wingfat »

Is there any way meteobridge can be configured to upload the "Meteobridge Weather Camera" overlayed photo to WU? I have the Weather Underground Camera set up but am running into the size limit restriction. The "unprocessed" photo is larger then the overlayed text photo.. which is sent to my 1and1 server account (for display on my web site). The FTP service is set up for the 1and1 server for data, so I can't use it for the WU. .. or can I somehow???

Thanks

Jeff

I think you can setup two upload services. Didn't WU cancel their cam services? At least they announced that some time ago.

WU did cancel their webcam program but reinstated it a short while later. I don't think they were prepared for the size and scope of negative response.
Many people were pulling their data streams as well. I'm sending my cam via your FTP service and also allowing them to "pickup" the processed shot via http. I was hoping to FTP the processed shot but these other solutions will work (although the FTP feed may be cut do to size restriction)

Thanks

Hi, thanks for the update. I was not aware the WU did a u-turn on that.

"Weather Networks" tab lists "Weather Underground CAM" as a service. You can use this for WU and the FTP Cam upload for "1und1" I guess.
