Meteobridge Pro works with Alecto? Alecto=LaCrosse?

Hi,

I'm considering buying an Alecto and connect it with a meteobridge PRO. However, the datasheet is not mentioning Alecto or the numbering 5500. I have 2 questions, I hope someone here with credit, can answer it:
1- Does Alecto WS-5500 work with Meteobridge (on all funtionalities. if not, which not)
(2) - Is Alecto actually a clone brand of LaCrosse?

1- Does Alecto WS-5500 work with Meteobridge

The Alecto WS-5500 is one of the many new "WeatherUnderground only " weatherstations.
You can view the data on the console or on your WU / WeatherCloud / WOW webpage.
It has (for now) no connectivity to any of the local(in-house) weather-programs.
The only way to get at your data is to use an API to retrieve your data from the WU server.
It is still not clear if after Dec 31 the retrieval of your own weather-data from WU remains free of charge.

There are rumours that a few enthousiast are working on a 'man in the middle' device to intercept the uploads to WU.

2 - Is Alecto actually a clone brand of LaCrosse?

These "Chinese" stations are sold under a lotof different brands world-wide.
