Dieses Update konsolidiert die experimentellen Updates seit Version 2.8.

Änderungen seit Version 2.8:
* Demozeitraum wurde bis zum 15.01.2009 verlängert.
* Fügt eine Warnmeldung bei der Definition von Grafiken hinzu, die deutlich mehr Datenpunkte adressieren als in der Grafik angezeigt werden können.
* Fügt auf der "Grafiken Verwalten" Seite farbige Indikatoren hinzu, die kritische Grafikdefinitionen kenntlich machen. (rot: > 2000 Datenpunkte, gelb: > 1000 Datenpunkte, grün: sonst).
* Stellt die Eingabe von Zeitplänen auf der Seite "Grafiken Hochladen" von CRON-Syntax auf vordefinierte Auswahlen um. Davon abweichende individuelle CRON Zeitpläne bleiben erhalten und können ebenfalls eingegeben werden.
* Fügt einen farbigen Indikator hinzu, der nicht zu den Zeitauflösungen von Grafikdefinitionen passende Zeitpläne für das Hochladen ausweist (rot: mehr als 2mal häufigeres Hochladen als Berechen der Grafik, gelb: häufigeres Hochladen als Grafikberechnung, gün: sonst).
* Behebt einen Fehler in der Darstellung von Einheiten auf der Web-Oberfläche.
* Verbessert Kompatibilität der clientraw.txt zu Mesomap (ungetestet, "speichern" auf WD-Live Seite drücken!).
* Behebt einen Fehler bei der Anzeige mancher Seiten und Texte im UTF-8 Modus.
* Behebt einen Fehler, der zu hohe Windchill-Werte in Verbindung mit der Wettertstation TE-923 aufzeichnet.
* Fügt experimentellen Support für Wetternetzwerk "regiowetter.ch" hinzu.
* Abbruch der Datenaufzeichnung beim Ausfall des Sensors th0 bei der Vantage wurde behoben.
* Der Versuch der Übertragung von Windtemperaturdaten an WSWIN wurde wieder rückgängig gemacht.
* Die Clone-Funktion wurde reaktiviert. Einfach im laufenden Betrieb den neuen USB-Stiuck anstelle der Wetterstation einstecken und "Clone" drücken.
* Behebt einen Fehler beim Betrieb der WH-1080, durch den leich gealterte Messdaten der WH-1080 ausgewertet wurden, anstelle der ganz aktuellen Daten.
* Unterstützt die neuen Wetterstationen WMRS-200 und RMS-300 von Oregon Scientific.
* Unterstützt das neue Sendeformat für HAMweather/Weatherforyou.
* Fügt Italienisch als Sprache zur Anzeige auf dem Dashboard hinzu.
* Die Sprachdateien kann nun mehr Worte auf der Seite "Systeminformation" übersetzen.
* Fügt die Ausgabe des Wind-Chills zum WSWIN Export hinzu.
* Fügt die Funktion "math+" zu den Template-Ersetzungsfunktionen hinzu.
* Behebt einen zeitzonenbedingten Fehler bei der Berechnung von "seqday1" Werten.

Changes since version 2.8:

* Demo period has been extended until 15.01.2009.
* Adds a warning for graph definitions, that address much more data points than can be displayed in the graph.
* Adds color indicators for each graph definition on the "Manage Graphs" page, that indicates definitions that make use of too much data points (red: more than 2000 daten points, yellow: more than 1000 data points, green: otherwise).
* Switches to predefined time schedules for graph uploads on "Graph Uploads" page. Individual CRON schedules are kept and can be added as well.
* Adds a color indicator that marks scheduled graph uploads that have an upload schedule that does not match the time resolution of the graph definition (red: at least two times more uploads than data updates for the graph, yellow: more uploads than data updates for the graph, green: otherwise).
* Fixes a bug when displaying units at the web interface.
* Improves compatibility of clientraw.txt to Mesomap (untested, press "save" on WD-Live page).
* Fixed a bug the results in faulty display of some UTF-8 characters.
* Fixed a bug that results in too high recorded wind chill values in combination with TE-923.
* Adds experimental support for weather network "regiowetter.ch".
* Bug that causes data logging to abort an a failing vantage th0 sensor has been fixed.
* Failed attempt to deliver Wind temperature to WSWIN has been rolled back. All additional sensors can now be used as regular temp/hygro sensors.
* Clone function has been updated. Simply plug-off the weather station and insert the new USB stick instead (during ongoing operation of Meteohub) and press "clone".
* Fixes a bug in WH-1080 mode that caused data from the past beeing used by Meteohub instead of brand new data.
* Supports new Oregon Scientific weather stations WMRS-200 and RMS-300.
* Supports new protocol for weather network HAMweather-Weatherforyou.
* Adds Italian as language for dashboard display.
* Makes more texts from the "System Information" page accessible to language files.
* Adds wind chill to WSWIN export file generation.
* Adds "math+" as a template replacement function.
* Fixes a bug related to time zone calculations when generating "seqday1" values.

Similarly for the UK distributor - their "Model LX-1000" looks like a badged version of the DMP ebox, but there is nothing I can see in the spec. to assure that this is the case, let alone which model.

However, I do have an Asus eeePC 701. I wonder if that would be suitable for use as a "Generic x86" Meteohub?

I've downloaded the "Generic x86" pdf. I think the process looks reasonably straight forward, but I wold not claim to be "quite familiar with Linux". It would be nice to hear what a Linux expert thought about the feasibility of using the Asus before I tried.

If I could convert the eeePC 701 to a weather server I could then spend the hardware money on a newer Netbook instead. ;)

Und dazu eine 4 oder 8 Gb karte - kann ich den meteogub auch als printerver und oder webcam anschiesen oder ist er dazu zu schwach? Hast tu damit gespielt oder nich?

puhhh... what a traffic ;-)

@urosh: Micro Client Sr is very capable. 2 USB cams is no problem (still images every couple of minutes). printserver is not included into the Meteohub image. May be you can install an addtional package to do this via Debian apt-get mechanism, but I didn't try on this. Yes I have a 512 MB Micro Client senior with WLAN and RS232 here, you can see it on the pictures in Haardware section.

@chill: USB-stick images can only be installed via dd or by help of Meteohub-Firmware with two USB sticks. Updates should be installed by placing them in "/public/transfer/" and doing file-based install. SSH might not be necessary for that.

@wfpost: From the specs eTC-2500 is identical with ebox 4300.

Yep, it is a bug in the dashboard 1.7. Will bring an update tonight.

@manni: yes update 3.0/3.0a can be installed on 2.6 USB stick images. (btw: each update explains what it can be installed onto).
