Auto power on mod.

Post by oliverb »

After reading the post on making the NSLU2 auto power up and this site http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/HowTo/F ... On#method9

I decided to use alternative 7 (single wire) but add a switch to remove the mod.

You can see a brief description of the mod here along with some photos http://home2.btconnect.com/brettoliver/nslu2.htm

I was going to use Alternative 1 using the MCP120-450DI/TO but found it really hard to source single items without high postal charges. Also all soldering on my chosen method is on non temp sensitive parts rather than SMCs that can be easily destroyed with a soldering iron.

Congrats! That is an excellent description and doesn't look too complicated. I also like the idea to have a switch for that.

Nice mod!
