How do I get firmware 1.4 for NANO SD?

Post by splobsterman »

I have a NANO SD in one location running firmware 1.4 and Meteobridge v. 4 and it supports https very well.

My second NANO SD has firmware 1.3 and Meteobridge v. 3.8 and Weather Net Home Weather Station complains that https is not built in, although the other https links I am using on it work fine. I have rebooted the unit with the setting "get newest on boot" which doesn't help.

How can I upgrade the second unit to fw 1.4 and Meteobridge v. 4?

FW cannot be changed and will not make any difference. Please read here to get rid of 3.8:

That would be good but my NANO SD doesn't appear to offer 3.6:

Thanks, that worked, though the FAQ on the topic says 3.7 & 3.8 are both problematic.
Versions "3.7" and "3.8" have a bug on some platforms that does not allow to skip to "newest" version when Meteobridge has once been manually forced to use "3.8" or "3.7". The symptom is that you select "newest version on boot" on "System" tab and when doing a reboot it will again show up in version"3.7" or "3.8".

The trick is to go down to version "3.6" first and when having booted with version "3.6" then to select newest and reboot again. By doing so you escape the dead-lock.
