The Meteobridge NANO SD wiki page states "we restrict microSD cards that can be used in the NANO to 1GB and 2GB industrial SLC cards". Does "restricted" mean the NANO SD is only sold with these cards, or does it mean a separately purchased NANO will not work at all unless the specific microSD cards listed on the page are used?

Re: Meteobridge NANO SD Restricted microSD Cards
if you buy the NANOSD it comes with a specified card, if you buy NANO without card you would need to purchase at a later date one of the specified cards listed .there is a genuine reason why it won't support the regular cards found in stores and lower priced offerings from various brands. low cost cards are prone to write failures after a period . I'm sure Boris will give you further information on the reasons why he took this approach.standard NANO has less storage and features due to the lack of storage capability. The NANOSD takes it to another level.

Re: Meteobridge NANO SD Restricted microSD Cards
It will not work at all without one of the listed cards? I have a NANO and I'd like to try the NANO SD now, but it will take several days for an industrial SLC card to arrive! What will happen if I power it on with a standard microSD card? Another related question, will ONLY the listed industrial SLC cards work? There are others on the market.

Re: Meteobridge NANO SD Restricted microSD Cards
The cards listed and specified are the ones that have been tested and known to work. This was specified for the NanoSD due to experiences with USB memory in the MBPro.
Re: Meteobridge NANO SD Restricted microSD Cards
Thank you for clarifying. I did finally purchase a supported microSD card, and now my NANO is a NANO SD!
Re: Meteobridge NANO SD Restricted microSD Cards
Great! You will not regret to have spent a few more bugs on it and waiting a few days. The standard cards will fail for sure after a few months.
