new to site and new to meteohub/nslu2.
just curious if anyone has their nslu2 overclocked...or clocked at the speed Intel intended it for 266MHz?
thanks in advance.

Re:overclocked
I'm also a newbie here and curious ...
I saw in another tread that it was recommended to go for the 266mhz version. But if the 133 can handle the load of getting the data from a normal weatherstation, making a handfull of graps every 5 minutes and upload them it will be fast enough for me.
I do not plan to let the slug handle internet request for graphic anyway - i've already paid for online space so the graphs can just be served from there....
The 133 has a slightly lower power consumption so if i don't need the extra preocessing power it makes sense to keep it running slowly :-)
On the same note - how much data can a 2GB system typically hold ? Or asked the other way arround. With typical use when does the 2GB become a limitation ?
Not that flash cost much anu more, but i have some 2GB Kingston DT min fun that has proved reliable to me in the past.
I've just paid for the meteohub software but not decided whether i'll activate it for the NSLU2 or for an x86 - still have 28 days of trial left :-)
I've a mini-itx based box running 24/7 as a mythtv backend and it could just as well be my meteohub server.

Re:overclocked
While being a fan of getting the most out of the slug, I wouldn't recommend overclocking a 133 MHz slug to 266 MHz. Why that change in mind?
To my impression the slower units seem to run more stable. I have far more USB stick problems reported with 266 MHz units than from 133 MHz units as they are mainly sold by ambientweather in the US. Can be that USB timing gets a bit more critical with 266 MHz...

Re:overclocked
Well, i'll better stick with my old 133Mhz then :-)
I used it for home server for some years with just a "basic internet presence". i.e just letting it serve a few static pages. At that time i powered it trought the USB port from a 2.5" hd - But at some time i got a corrupted filesystem and firmwarea. Then i fried something on the usb so it no longer would boot with power that way. So its been packed away for more than a year and i actually bought a replacement (its a 266mhz) before i realised that it would still run from its normal power source (also required a flas again from redboot)
Can't rememnber when i heard about Meteohub but sounded like the fast way of getting something running enstead of trying to do it myself. So far it looks real good but it probably won't take long until i probe a bit below the surface and thinks about what else i could use the slug for at the same time :-)
