SW Version 4.3 master password request **solved**

Post by IVD »

Hello,
Today I rebooted the Meteobridge NanoSD after I changed the IP address from automatic to static. I live in an area where we have frequent power cuts when the weather is bad (sometimes 4 times per day) and the IP address changed after each power cut. I now have the latest SW version 4.3 although Meteobridge.com/forum states that it is not yet released.

When I try to log on, I am asked for a 'master password'. As my Meteobridge password did not work, I just clicked 'cancel' and I was taken to the normal login requesting username and password, which worked as normal. However, each time I click on a different tag I am asked again to fill in 'master password'. I have to click on 'cancel' each time to be able to do anything on the page or move away from the page. This is extremely frustrating.

1. What is the Master Password? I have never set one and do not know where I can set one. Is it related to my static IP?
2. Why is it necessary to request a 'Master Password' when changing between tags once you are logged on?
3. What is the point of asking for a 'Master Password' when ignoring it by clicking cancel allows one to proceed anyway.

I hope you can help me by pointing out how I can get a master password and eleminating the request for each tag.

regards

Hello,

Please ignore this request regarding a Master Password. Something had changed in my browser and the problem has now been solved.

If you changed from DHCP to a Static IP then you generally need to re-activate the license key which is simply a matter of going into the License tab and clicking, however not referred to or requiring any password
