WMR100-problem
This is not a problem with the Meteohub but since I dom't have any solution yet, I ask the question here.
My WMR100 was setup 11 months ago and have been working quiet well. But around 2,5 months ago, I started having trouble getting data from the wind meeter at the top of my roof.
When speaking to the support, they sent me the new version of the wind meeter so now I have the WMR100N instead.
Everything worked fine, but last week I suddenly lost contact with it totally. If I move the base station closer, like walking to the top floor and only have 3 meters through the roof, I can get contact.
But no contact from the place where it has been standing during my eleven months of using it.
Anyone have any idea of what to check? No battery symbols are lit so I don't think that changing batteries will solv it.
Thanks in advance,
L-I

Hello,
I don't know about WMR100, but in my WMR200, I'v never seen any battery symbol on the console, but need to replace battery from sensors 6 months ago...
Is like the WMR200 your station have a solar sensor for the wind meter ?
Try to replace battery, IMHO.

Re:WMR100-problem
Hi There,
I've had my WMR100 for about two years now, and with the first set of batteries (which lasted about 9 months) I had a similar problem to you. The console would start losing the wind or temp/hum, I re-search and find them again but it would keep happening. I think as the batteries run down the range decreases!
I replaced the batteries for goods ones like Duracell.
Now I have a note in my calendar to replace them every 6 months, and use up the old ones in a remote control which is easier to change.
Not a great deal of help, but unless you change the batteries your never know if its a fault or not. ;)

Re:WMR100-problem
The biggest problem with this isn't actually me missing data, the biggest problem, as I see it is that when I do miss outdorr temp, the data at Weather Underground gets faulty.
For some reason I get at dewpoint of -73.3 Degrees Celsius there.

Re:WMR100-problem
Are you using Weather Display or Meteohub to send the information to Weather Underground.
Re:WMR100-problem
Meteohub of course!:)EmjayNet wrote:Are you using Weather Display or Meteohub to send the information to Weather Underground.
Re:WMR100-problem
A perfectly valid question!
On the Weather Networks page, what are you using to send the dew point from your console thb0, temp/Hum th0 or an extra sensor (th?)?

Re:WMR100-problem
That's th0, the one that I'm losing contact with. So I guess I don't have a dewpoint value to send but for some reason there is one anyway.EmjayNet wrote:A perfectly valid question!

You can see all the strange numbers here:

Re:WMR100-problem
I'm not convinced this is a hardware problem. I too have an Oregon and get a -73.3 reading on my Wunderground account, usually after my system reboots, but this week had several when my system was up and running.
This guy is being used as an example of a rapid fire account with a webcam attached.

He too has -73.3 readings but is using a Davis.
I have checked my data in Meteohub and don't see the -73.3 readings.
Could this be a Wunderground problem?

Re:WMR100-problem
I actually had a -99.9F Dew Point reading on my Davis VP2 setup at Weather Underground back on New Years Day... I suspect there's a glitch somewhere in either how Meteohub or WU handles dew point if it gets a faulty reading. It also sent a barometric pressure of -100.00in/Hg!
If you look at the day in question (link above), the error occurred at about 2:15 am, which is the time every night when my NSLU2 reboots itself, so it must have been in the process of polling for new data from the station when it was already sending a new packet to WU (for which it had no data yet), and thus sent blanks and zeroes. Perhaps Boris can confirm exactly how the variables for dew point and pressure are stored, and ensure that they are null when first initialized?

Re:WMR100-problem
Thanks to the other posters were getting somewhere.
I checked back through a couple of days at WU and bingo:
06/01/09 17:08 - -73.3 °C - Calm - -% 0.0mm
(I did a manual reboot)
Looks like sevenless hit the nail on the head.

Re:WMR100-problem
-99.9F = -73.3C :)
I don't think this is a hardware problem either but I get it everytime I lose contact with my outdoor temp and humidity(th0).
Since I noticed this, I wrote a message in the application forum and thought that maybe Boris had something to add to it but I've had no responce on that message.
Either it's a wunderground problem when it don't get the data it puts in a dummy value that is totally wrong or there's a glitch in the calculation of dew point in meteohub software when there is no temperature to put in the formula.
Since I don't have any other software to send data to wunderground I can't see what will come out if I skip sending the missing data.

Re:WMR100-problem
If You use formula for calculating dew point from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dew_point the result is -infinite, or in our case minimal negative -99.9F (that equals -73.3C).
Therefore, It is most likely software problem. From what I see, it looks like dew point should not be calculated if humidity and temperature data are not known, rather than just reset values to zero. IMHO.
