RPi Update 5.1d is Corrupted

RPi Update 5.1d is Corrupted
The Meteohub 5.1d update is corrupted. I have v5.1a installed on my Meteohub and I’ve tried to update it to v5.1d by both the automatic update function on the Maintenance Page and by downloading the update from the Meteohub WiKi update page and doing a manual file transfer from the Transfer Folder on the Network Drive. . After attempting both methods, I’m unable to connect to my Meteohub at all. It never appears on my network and isn’t found with a network scanner. Luckily I have a backup activated image of my Meteohub so was easily able to restore it.

At least you got the update to do something, I can't get anything to update my station since 5.1a (Build 261). Maybe that's for the best, but I'd like to keep up to date.
Re: RPi Update 5.1d is Corrupted
Why 5.1d is an update at all rather than a new install download makes no sense at all. The only change to 5.1d from 5.1a is to change the Meteohub license payment service from PayPal to my commerce. Since everyone who has a current license never needs to buy a new one, the only people who need a new license are those who install Meteohub on a new piece of hardware and don’t already have a license to transfer.
However, the only version available to download for a new Meteohub installation is 5.0s which still uses PatPal and can’t be upgraded without being licensed ( even if the upgrade worked, which it doesn’t).
A real catch 22, which Boris has not addressed.
As far as updating your 5.1a, have you tried a manual update of 5.1c from the wiki download page using the instructions in the online manual. I have used that method before when the update function from the Maintenance Page of the Meteohub didn’t work. I don’t know if the 5.1c update is OK or not as I haven’t tried it ( it only changes the potential demo period until the end of 2021 ) as it doesn’t affect licensed users. I don’t believe Boris has any plans to further develop the Meteohub platform as it’s based on an old version of Debian ( Wheezy) which has been EOL ( end of life ) for several years and he is devoting all his energies to developing and upgrading his Meteobridge platform in all it’s various hardware versions.

OK, thanks. I'm just going to leave my system at 5.1a. It's not accessible from the internet due to the multiple layers of NAT that happen with the cellular and local network.
Not that it matters in this thread, but until MeteoBridge (or something other than MeteoHub) has support for virtual sensors, I can't change platforms. My station is on a moored boat that rotates based on the wind direction. I have a magnetometer (compass) that writes a compass heading to a file and virtual sensor that uses an awk statement to combine the valid wind speed data from the anemometer with the heading from the compass to give an accurate combined reading. If I just use the Davis anemometer, my wind direction is always North (or close to it) since the boat always faces in to the wind.
I'll post this in another thread, I realized I'm rambling...
