Backup fails on MBPro but not NanSD

Have an MBPro & NanoSD with same FW version (May 26), NanoSD runs System/Backup fine, MBPro fails with "no target media found", buggered if I can find the difference between them. Anybody else have Database backup problems on an MBPro?

maybe internal drive gone bad?

Internal ATP all good, all other read/write actions on this drive all appear functioning normal

No real idea. I can offer to login remotely tho check why this fails.
