Nano Inital Connectivity Trouble

Post by swood »

Hello:

I am switching my old Meteobridge setup , using a Davis VP2 and an MR-3020, over to the Meteobridge Nano. I am able to to successfully complete the first part of the process, and the "Save and Test" function reports that "WLAN and Internet Connectivity Are Fine" But when I complete the "Save and Apply and Reboot" step I am unable to access the Nano at its designated address. The Nano's LED continuously blinks quickly, suggesting no connectivity.
My IP Scanner shows the device at the designated IP address but shows it as unconnected to my network. I have powered down and repeated the process several times, only to fail at the last step each time.

You assistance is appreciated!

i'm only guessing but,

does your password for wifi have any special characters in it?

what is signal strength of wifi like?

DHCP ok for spare IP addresses? perhaps setup a reserved IP for the MAC Address of the NANO so it gets a different IP (if your router/dhcp server can do that)

Another guess/query, What colour is the strap of the Nano? What power pack are you powering the VP2 with? Original Davis?

Like you, I have been unable to get the Nano SD to connect and experienced exactly the same scenario you described and was pulling my hair out.
Until, that is, that I noticed that the 'Encryption' Field in the WIFI Client part of the Network Tab, was reverting to 'None'. Once I changed that to WPS2-PTK before selecting, Save and Reboot, it connected first time and has been working perfectly.
Forgive me if you have resolved your issue, but thought this might help .
