Turn on light at Station

Post by bommelpommel »

Hi,
is there an option to use a call to turn on the light at the display of the Davis Station? That would be a nice addition to be included into my home automation, to turn it on and off when the light is low?

An option in what device?

I'm merely guessing - you want meteobridge to turn on the light on the Davis Console when it gets dark

what ever you want with the so called "light on/off", Meteobridge do not control lights on a Davis Console display.

Yes - that was the question and answer.

I have my weewx connected to my Davis via meteobridge, connected over 22222 via weatherlinkip, i guess. It is possible to control the lights through meteobridge - after stopping the weewx service i can control the lights through the meteobridge with wee_device --set-lamp=OFF and ON.

But i have no idea about the related weatherlinkip command.

Would be great to get this feature available through the api - without stopping weewx.

I found out, that a simple LAMPS 1 command on the meteobridge command line ssh-console (openwrt) turns lights on.

Does anybody know how to execute such commands without opening a openwrt console ?
