Problem with Version 4.4. **solved**

Post by woolfg »

Hi

I have two Meteobridge Pro Reds and have downloaded the latest software version 4.4 and have the following problems

It may be me but

a) I dont have the Add Station button as shown in the Wiki for the latest version as shown in this screenshot

Secondly the station selection drop down menu is different for the two Meteobridges and I dont know why ,on one I can only select from two stations as shown in the two screenshots below

Any ideas why this should be happening would be much appreciated

Thanks

My Vantage Pro 2 which used to work fine now keeps on dropping: error: #station 0 (Meteostick Vantage), restart meteostick (300 secs no valid rf signal#

How to get the earlier firmware?

It has flipped to "read RF directly". May by your setup was on "via Consolse"? When you change this manually, you should be fine again.

New version also allows MB PRO users to readout other stations. On "primary station" tab one has to decide if internal RF receiver should be used, which normally the case with an MB PRO red. If this flag is set, only Vantage and WS1000 sensors can be selected, as these are the only ones the MB PRO can read RF data from. When the mode is flipped to not using the interal RF receiver, you get all the options to choose from for the primary station. When additional stations are defined, always all supported stations are listed.

I think this is rather logical and explains the differences in the drop-down menus.

Yep, my setup was via console.

Shall the setup be like like this?

Yes, looks fine. Unfortunately, there was a bug that did not automatically migrate your old "via Console" setting to the new format. Therefore, you have to set it yourself. After pressing "save" all should be fine. The bug has been fixed, so future migration of other users should work without loosing this setting. Thanks for spotting this!
