Meteobridge Nano no longer connecting to WiFi

Post by ngiovas »

I have been running a Meteobridge Nano for about 18 months with no issues. I noticed the past couple of days that it has not been uploading data to my weather site. After investigating the issue, I realized that the device was not connected to the WiFi network. I tried doing a basic reset, but it still did not connect. The LED on the Nano is flashing rapidly, so I connected via the Meteobridge WiFi connection. I am able to login and I can see that the WiFi info is correct, but it shows that there is no connection and that there is no ip address assigned.

I tried doing a factory reset and was able to login and set the correct WiFi info again (it was able to detect my WiFi network), but after rebooting it returned to the rapid flashing LED and would not connect.

Does anyone have any suggestions of how I might be able to resolve this issue if a factory reset does not work. As I mentioned, it detects my WiFi network, but it will not connect. I tried an alternate network and got the same results.

thanks,

Nick

I did some more testing. I was able to get the Nano to connect to my "guest" WiFi network. I then connected my phone to that network so that I would be on the same subnet and I tried to connect to the meteobridge, but I get an error that says "connection refused".

When connected via the guest network, I login by connecting to the meteobridge WiFi signal and it shows all green checkmarks for connectivity and internet, so I am not sure why I cannot connect to it.

I tried my regular network again and it still will not connect. I am certain that I am using the right password as I have many other devices connected.

I am sorry to not have an answer - I am having the same problem.

Our Vantage Pro2 was down for a few weeks and when I went to put it back online the nano would not connect, stuck in rapid flashing. I used it for almost two years with no problems, so I find this baffling. Factory reset does not work, I have tried this several times. I have rebooted router more than once and the console too many times to remember.

I can see the mac address on my computer's network list but it does not come up on my router's device list.

I now am curious as to how I can tell if the nano itself is malfunctioning or dying.
