FitPC WLAN question

Post by frankc »

Is it possible to use the wireless ethernet option with Meteohub? If so how?

yep, if it is a "fit-PC Slim"... manual tells you how.

Sorry I am not seeing it.
Page 21 does show how the setting page appears but I am not seeing the same thing. I have an IP but not a wlan IP where is this "switched on"? or where in the manual is this described?
Thank you for your time.

download the actual 3.3 manual. it has the WLAN section explained. I guess you are looking at an outdated manual.

3.3 manual: http://www.meteohub.de/joomla/index.php ... &Itemid=29

I have fitPC slim, meteohub 4 and 3.3.manual.

I have installed the meteohub system several times - that works fine. I am in 'demo' mode (not yet licenced)

When I log on to the freshly installed meteohub (by LAN) I do not get the WLAN field in the network settings page. (see attached screen shot). The WLAN card is working fine (I have several units which I can swap and change)

The manual seems to indicate that WLAN works if WLAN card is present - not so in my case.

Do you have any further help or pointers?

Regards

that is strange. Only explanation I do have is, that the wlan adapter installed in your unit is different from the ones I was testing with.

Please login via console or ssh/putty (user "root", password "meteohub") and tell me what "lspci" and "lsusb" are providing as output.

installed modules look fine (lsmod), but ndiswrapper needs some help.

please login via ssh and give command "ndiswrapper -i /root/rt73.inf".
Does it return an error? I
f not, reboot and see if this fixes things.
