RaspberryPi Rain Data. **solved**

Post by hymrog »

Hello -

We had some snow melt here today which caused some unwanted rain data. I attemped to zero out the information on the rain0total tab and rain0rate tabs which appeared to work as the data is reading 0.00in. The problem is with the min/max tab, which is still showing the errant rain accumulation. After noticing the rain total I also attempted to resonstruct the data base which appeared to be successful per the logging screen.

I also checked all other rain fields i.e. rain1total etc. just in case there was some errant data in those fields but all appeared as expected, no data.

I also noticed that when you clicked on any of the rain fields on the min/max tab it did not take you the area where you can make corrections to hourly data while all other fields on the min/max screen took you the appropriate section to make the hourly adjustments.

Strange. Did you try the "Reconstruct" button on "Edit Hour Data" tab?

Hi -

Thanks for looking. I did try the "Reconstruct" button on the "Edit Hour Data" tab. Still not updating the total rainfall for the month for the corrected data.

Thanks

Hi -

We had a bit of rain overnight and I did some follow-up testing. I zeroed out a time period that had a 0.01 record for rain and confirmed that the daily total does not change on the Min/Max tab even after running the reconstruct action on the Edit Hour Tab. However, I did confirm that the monthly total did update correctly on the Min/Max data tab regardless if I ran the reconstruct action.

When you give me a remote login, I might have a look into the details.

Seems to work fine again. Not sure what the reason was.
